One of the things I focus on in my photography as well as tours and workshops, is using objects to frame a photo. Yes, doors and windows work very nicely. But there’s so much more you can do with frames.

Capture the spirit of New York City on a customized walking photo tour.
I do love shooting in the rain. It really makes for interesting photos. I do photo tours and street photography workshops in almost all weather condition with the exception of the most severe.
When I see geometric shapes with shadows I am immediately drawn to photograph them. It’s all the better when there’s a person in it as well. This is the New York City AIDS Memorial in Greenwich Village. When I’m giving a street photography workshop or a private photo tour we also concentrate on what we find of interest in the area.
There are so many options for styles and methods for shooting street photography and photography in general. I provide private photography workshops in abstract photography and other alternative methods. You can have the focus of any of my photo tours be about alternative styles. Oh and it’s fun. Here’s a recent example using intentional camera movement. It’s still street photography.
No matter what your level is in photography or street photography, I have street photography workshops and private photo tours to help you take your shooting to the next level.
No matter how many times I return to the same neighborhood to shoot street photography, there’s always something new! This photo was taken during a photo tour in Chinatown with a group from France. There are very few alleys in NYC. This one is especially cool. We came across these two entertainers and had a great time shooting them. My next street photography workshop is in Chinatown on Sunday 17 February. Oh, the Lunar New Year Parade will be happening during the workshop!
There are so many photographic opportunities. This photo was taken at a recent event in Soho while I was giving a photo tour.
