Coney Island Polar Bear Swim

If you’re looking for something fun to do on New Year’s Day, you can see the Annual Coney Island Polar Bear Swim. I have photographed it 3 years in a row. I’m not certain at the time of writing this if I’ll go this year as well. It is a big party! If you can’t make it on January 1st you can view them swimming every Sunday from November through April. It isn’t as festive. Either way it’s fabulous to photograph. This photo was taken in 2011.

New York City 1969

This is me on my first trip to New York City, October 1969. To say that it was love at first sight is an understatement. It was the first time in my life that I felt like I could call a place home. It took me 10 years to finally move to NYC on 4 July 1979 with the view of the Macy’s Fireworks visible as I was landing here. Talk about flashbacks!

My Latest Article in Inspired Eye

The Curious Frame in Inspired Eye

The Latest issue of Inspired Eye is out! And I have an article in it. I highly suggest this photography magazine because it features so many interviews and photos from a number of different photographers with very different styles. It is a labor of love by Don Springer and it’s always an inspiration. I am honored to have my semi-regular articles on photography published in it.

Triste Noir Book

My latest book, Triste Noir is now available! It is limited to 100 copies which are signed and numbered and it also includes a 4×6 photo from the series which is also signed and numbered.

This is the first time that these photos are in print and it also includes a written piece which is published for the first time. I have a new simplified and less expensive shipping and handling charges for this and my other 2 self-published books. Thanks to everyone for purchasing my books and keeping the dream alive!
