The afternoon light creates some very beautiful shadows in the winter!
I provide private photo tours in Chelsea on a regular basis.
Every neighborhood in New York City has a very different atmosphere. I provide photo tours of Chelsea, the Meatpacking District and the High Line Park. It’s an especially great neighborhood for amazing architecture old and new.
There are possible photographic opportunities everywhere. The subway stairs lend leading lines to a photo and a sense of moment. I have a street photography workshop coming up on Saturday March 2nd in Chelsea. There are only 2 spaces still available at the time of writing this post. You can register online.
In street photography I work with the weather conditions whatever they are. Rain or shine. Of course, it’s fabulous to work with the afternoon light in the autumn. Learning to take advantage of all kinds of weather conditions and light, is something we always focus on in my street photography workshops. You don’t have to be a fair weather photographer.
This is another photo that I took during a street photography workshop in Chelsea. We always have a good time shooting and sometimes we meet people on the streets that ask us to take their photo! If shooting street photography isn’t fun, I probably wouldn’t do it.
Shadows are one of my favorite things to capture. The afternoon sun in the autumn is amazing and shadows lend an added touch to photos. This photo was taken during a recent street photography workshop in Chelsea. We always work with available light and any of the many aspects that create interest in a composition no matter the weather. You can see more information about my workshops online.
Black and White in Chelsea, from a recent photo tour.
Nothing like a flavored ice on a hot summer day! A recent photo taken in Chelsea.
On a photo tour yesterday. We walked the Highline and took photos of modern architecture and also did some street photography as well. “I would highly recommend any tour with Leanne. She’s great from a photographic perspective and her local knowledge is a real bonus and adds to the experience.” An excerpt of her review.
