There are so many styles and methods of shooting street photography and it isn’t necessary to see a person’s face. In this shot the movement is implied in the action of the subject. If you’d like to learn more about street photography you can check out my workshops and private tours. And yes, I provide gift certificates for the photographer in your life!
A person’s face is not necessary in street photography. In fact, sometimes it’s even better. The combination of an umbrella and few colors is a great combination in making a photo minimal. Are you looking to up your skills as a photographer? I provide both group street photography workshops and private photos tours. You can see more information on my website.
While I mostly take candid shots of people on the street, there is the occasion when I stop and talk with people and then take their photo. In New York City there are kinds of interesting people on the street and I love to talk with them. This often happens while I am giving a photo tour or a street photography workshop as well.
This photo is from a workshop in Bushwick, June 2018.
Long Island City Kaleidoscope is a recent photo. I really like to capture silhouettes with interesting backgrounds. This was taken in a subway station.
I almost always take a few photos in the subway stations. I do love obtaining a blurred train in the background. We often work on this on my private photo tours.
