Photo taken during a street photography workshop in Chinatown.
“We spent a wonderful very full afternoon with Leanne exploring the Lower East Side and Soho which also lead us into China Town and surrounds. It makes such a difference exploring and shooting with an experienced photographer and local. Leanne showed us areas we would never have found on our own and we have so many amazing shots as a result. Leanne not only knows the area but the people as well and provided interesting stories along the way. We loved it.” – Wendy, Sydney Australia
Umbrellas are always fabulous to capture in street photos.
Sometimes I get street shots of people on their own, solo and even looking as if nothing was going on around them. This photo was taken during a recent photo tour. My next street photography workshop in Chinatown will be on Wednesday 25 September.
I have always liked Chinatown in Manhattan. Gentrification hasn’t quite hit this neighborhood, yet. Much of it looks as it has for more than 25 years now.
I provide private photo tours to Chinatown all year and I have a few street photography workshops there every year. My next street photography workshop will be on Wednesday 25 September and you can register online.
Creating History, Chinatown, June 2019.
Chinatown is filled with the color red. It is always a delight to capture.
