Self Portrait in Queens

Yesterday I went to Chinatown in Flushing, Queens and a few other neighborhoods in the area. I haven’t been out there for awhile. Did I mention there’s so much to see and do in New York City? I like to do new things when I can. Or at least revisit places I haven’t seen for awhile. I was exiting the subway station when I saw this very cool old Volkswagen Bug and also my shadow with it. This is my kind of self portrait! – 3 May 2017. https://www.shootnewyorkcity.com/blog/2017/5/4/self-portrait-in-queensSelf Portrait in Queens

Review by Michal, New York City

“Great photo tour and great way to know my city. I’ve been living in NY for the last 10 years, and really into street photography. Leanne introduced me to a part of the city that I’ve never seen before. It was a fun tour with a lot of great photo ops. I’m definitely going to take more of her tours, nice to be a tourist in my own city.” – Michal, New York City. https://www.shootnewyorkcity.com/reviews/2017/2/28/review-by-michal-new-york-cityin-bushwick

Chinatown Photo Workshop this Sunday

I’m looking forward to my next Photo Workshop in Chinatown this Sunday 6 March. (There are still some places available.) Manhattan, Chinatown has so much character! My preference has been to process in black and white for the Chinatown street photography. It is of course, a personal preference and occasionally I will process in color when there’s a stunning red wall as there are a few there. (Perhaps in the future I will also plan a Queens, Chinatown Workshop as well!)
